Assam CM announced project Sadbhavana to clear pending files of Secretariat

Guwahati News Desk: The Chief Minister of Assam Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that a project Sadbhavana will be implemented to clear all the old and pending files of the Assam Secretariat from February 1, 2022.

During an interaction programmed held at Srimanta Sankardev Kalashetra with the officials of Assam Secretariat as CM Sarma urges officials to redefine their roles during the time of clearing all pending cases of Secretariat.

CM Sarma also mentioned many old cases of various departments at Janata Bhawan which folded under dusts at the rack as many citizens regularly visits to take a stock of their cases as now the government has taken the decision to open files of the pending and old cases.

According to the sources, the top five departments where maximum visitors come to secretariat is Education, PWD, Pension & Public Grievances, Irrigation and Social Welfare Department.

A maximum of 29 per cent of visitors are government employees, 24 per cents are contractors, 12 per cent are teaching staff, 7 per cent are general public, 6.5 per cent are corporate people and 6 per sent are retired government servants.

CM Sarma also stated that most of the cases related to visitors are old as no decisions have been taken from past years.
