Birina Barooah Phukan, Bengaluru: Moong bean or green gram is highly common food found in our kitchens. It is full of health benefits and can be served as main dish as well. So let’s learn how to make this amazingly delicious dish, bean sprouts mixed with mushroom.
Sprouted moong beans (semi boiled) – 2cups
Oil – 1½ tbs
Onion (chopped)- 2
Ginger (grated)- ½ tsp
Green chillies(chopped) -2
Turmeric powder- ¼ tsp
Salt – as per taste
Garam masala- 1tsp
Chat masala – ½tsp
Coriander powder- ½tsp
Tomato (chopped) – 1
Mushroom (chopped) – ½cup
Roasted peanuts – 1½ tbs
Grated coconut – ¼ cup
Coriander leaves (chopped) for garnishing
Take a pan and pour oil to it. Once it is heated, add chopped onion, ginger and green chillies. Fry for sometime.
Now add the semi boiled sprouted moong bean. Fry for sometime. Then add cumin powder, coriander powder, a pinch of turmeric powder and salt as per taste. Now add the chopped tomatoes. Cook till they become tender.
In another pan heat 1tbs of oil. Fry the chopped mushrooms adding salt and pepper. Add these to the stir fried moong bean.
Add roasted peanuts. Sprinkle grated coconut and coriander leaves to garnish.
If you wish you can add ½ tsp of lemon juice.
Your healthy calorie free dish is ready to serve.
