Guwahati News Desk: A massive shooting incident was reported after a youth got injured after being shot by another person at Basistha in Guwahati on Sunday.
According to the sources, the accused have been identified as Samay Roy who belongs from Burdwan of West Bengal.
The accused Roy travelled by train to Guwahati far from West Bengal and reached the residence of his alleged girlfriend at Bengalibari area in Basistha where the incident took place.
As per sources, the police identified the entire incident happened due to family feud. The victim was identified as Prem Kumar Debnath who believed to be the cousin of the accused girlfriend. The incident took place after both two had a rough argument and later the Roy hold up a country made 7.65 pistol and shot which he brought along with him.
According to the sources, the girl and accused Roy came up in a relationship through social media as their relationship was not approved by the families which led a massive clash.
Currently, the accused brought to custody and also recovered live bullet and pistol.
