Guwahati News Desk: Seven-year-old Hemant Sharma died in mysterious circumstances while undergoing treatment at Jorhat Medical College and Hospital in Jorhat on Tuesday.
Hemant received several head injuries after he had been left at his playschool near Muktab School on March 19.
A case has been registered by Lokesh Sharma, cousin of the diseased who has lodged an FIR at Jorhat Police Station.
At 9.40 am Lokesh left the boy at his playschool, Tiny Tots and around 10.10 am he received a call from Hemant that he has been admitted to hospital with severe head injuries.
Lokesh also said that his brother who worked in an optical shop had seen Hemant lying near the staircase in his school and later people immediately admitted him to JMCH for treatment and informed his parents.
The CCTV footage of the school was out of order at the time of the incident.
The family of the deceased has requested the police officials for an immediate and close investigation to find out the real reason behind the minor’s death.
