Ebon Bora, Guwahati: Spicy honey chicken is a combination of boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut in half and sliced into strips with chillies and honey.

Boneless chicken breast (cut into small-sized pieces) – 250 gm
Small onion (cut into ½ pieces) – 1
Cornflour – ½ cup
Dry red chillies (broken into bits) – 2-3
Soya sauce – 1 tsp
Honey – 2 tsp
Tomato ketchup – 2 tbsp
Red chilly sauce – 1 tbsp
Vinegar – 1 ½ tbsp
Small eggs – 2
Salt – to taste
Black pepper – ½ tsp
Red chilly flakes – 2 tsp or Red chilly powder – 1 ½ tsp
Cornflour – 1 tbsp
Refined oil – 1 tbsp
Cut the chicken breast into pieces. Mix all the marinade ingredients and marinate the chicken and keep aside for 1 hour in the fridge. Sprinkle cornflour on the marinated chicken and mix well. Keep in mind that each piece is coated with cornflour. Now, deep fry the chicken on moderate heat till it becomes crisp and golden brown. Drain and keep aside.
Heat the oil (2 tsp) in a pan or a kadhai with low flame. Add dry, red chillies and stir. Now, add soya sauce and honey, and mix well. Add tomato ketchup, red chilly sauce and vinegar. Stir well for a few seconds. Add the onion, crisp fried chicken, and stir-fry by keeping in mind that each piece is coated with the sauce.
