Guwahati News Desk: A 14-year-old boy was brutally murdered in Deoghar district of Jharkhand.

The information about the murder was released by the police on Thursday.

According to Sub-Divisional Police Officer Pawan Kumar, a complaint was filed by the victim’s family on Wednesday, alleging that the boy went missing mysteriously the previous night.

However, it was informed by the police on Thursday that the boy was allegedly killed by his friends, who slit his throat, chopped off his hands and legs, and then stuffed the body in sacks and dumped it in a jungle.

The reason behind the murder was stated to be a petty quarrel that took place between the deceased and his friends.

Meanwhile, during the course of the investigation, it was one of the victim’s friend (14-years-old), who told the police that he met the victim on Tuesday and went to Kumrabad Station Road, where another friend (19-years-old) joined them.

Having recovered the body, the police were able to arrest the other culprit as well.

Moreover, both the accused confessed to the crime and even a blood-stained knife and the mobile phone of the victim was successfully recovered.

Furthermore, a case under IPC sections 302 (murder), 201 (causing disappearance of evidence of offence), 120B (criminal conspiracy), 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) have been registered against the two
