Guwahati News Desk: Shooter Avani Lekhara bags silver medal in women’s 10 m Air Rifle SH1 at the World Shooting Para Sports World Cup 2021 at Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting and Golf Club in UAE.
Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Kiren Rijiju congratulated Avani in Tweeter for the victory in the Para Sports World Cup and for making the nation proud.
Avani defeated Iryna Shchetnik of Ukraine’s by just 0.3 points and the final score ended by 249-248.7.
A total of 120 athletes across 24 countries participated in the event as the first World Shooting Para Sports competition was canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
