Guwahati News Desk: At least 21 TET teachers were arrested by Crime Investigation Department for allegedly working working in government schools by providing fake academic certificates, announced by Chief Minister of Assam Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma.
A list of 36 TET teachers with fake academic certificates have been released as 21 were arrested by the officials.
“On Monday morning 21 arrested out of 36 TET teachers by CID as the operation is underway and the remained will be held soon” says CM Sarma on Monday.
CM Sarma also mentioned that fake certificate and degree providers will get eliminated soon after the arrest of the remaining teachers.
According to the sources, the teachers were recruited in various government schools in BTR region.
On Sunday, CID had arrested 21 teachers from various places in Chirang, Baksa, Kokrajhar and Udalguri districts.
On Monday, 18 TET teachers with fake certificate have been produced at the CID headquarters.
