Guwahati News Desk: Three ONGC employees were allegedly abducted by the United Liberation Front of Assam-Independent (ULFA-I) from an ONGC side of Lakwa field in Sivasagar on Tuesday.
According to the sources, an ONGC official ambulance was used to abduct the staff as it was said the driver of the ambulance was released later. Later the ambulance was found near Nimonagarh forest close to the Assam-Nagaland State border.
Soon after knowing the incident Sivasagar Police immediately rushed on the spot for investigation as the ULFA-I has not given any official statement regarding the abduction of the ONGC staff.
The abductees were identified as Mohini Mohan Gogoi and Ratul Saikia both from Sivasagar and Alakesh Saikia from Jorhat.
