Guwahati News Desk: Four girls from Paneri of Udalguri district suspected to have been victims of human trafficking has been rescued by Assam Police on Saturday.
The girls were rescued from Baihata and one accused identified as Giyas Ali was arrested by police officials.
The 32-year-old accused was a resident of Baruahjhar of Paneri.
The police officials have already started their interrogation in this connection.
A case have been registered against the accused at Paneri Police Station PNY PS Case No 50/21 u/s 366 (a)/370 of IPC r/w of Section 14 of Child Labour Act.
The police officials are making all their effort to find out the other members linked up in the human trafficking.
