Guwahati News Desk: At least 46 people died in a bus crash that caught fire in western Bulgaria on Tuesday.
As informed by officials, among the 46 passengers killed in the terrifying accident, 12 were children.
As per the reports, 7 people who managed to escape from the bus were taken to hospital with burns.
The Interior Minister of Bulgaria, Boyko Rashkov, visited the terrifying scene and said the survivors had been badly burned.
Regarding the incident, the bus was returning to the capital Skopje from a weekend holiday trip to Istanbul in Turkey, when it rammed a crash barrier on Struma motorway in south-west of the capital Sofia on Tuesday.
Moreover, even the mayor of the nearby village of Pernik said the motorway was in poor condition on that section and there were often accidents in the area.
Furthermore, the area around the site of Tuesday’s incident on the motorway has now been sealed off and footage from the scene clearly shows the charred vehicles gutted by the fire.
