Guwahati News Desk: A total of five persons were killed and five others were seriously injured, after a two-storey house collapsed in Mohalla Roza Arjan near Badi Masjid area in Uttar Pradesh’s Jaunpur around midnight on Thursday.
On getting information about the event, the District Magistrate (DM) Manish Kumar Verma and the Superintendent of Police (SP), Ajay Kumar Sahni, reached the spot and initiated for relief and rescue.
According to reports, the family members were sleeping when the house collapsed.
In addition, the local people started evacuating the trapped persons and the ones injured were immediately admitted to the hospital.
The names of the five deceased include of, Azimullah, Mohammad Kaif, Sanjeeda, Miswah and Mohammad Saif. While the condition of the five other persons injured is said to be critical.
