Guwahati News Desk: The Food Processing Industries Ministry has provided a subsidy of 50 percent on air transportation for the Northeastern States.
The Himalayan states too will be provided with the same. The Ministry has said that the subsidy was provided under Operation Green Scheme.
The scheme will provide subsidy on 41 notified fruits and vegetables.
Airports of Northeastern states Assam, Arunachal, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripur, Sikkim, Nagaland and Himalayan states i.e., Himanchal Pradesh, Uttarakhand including Union Territories, Ladhak, and Jammu & Kashmir are eligible under this scheme.
