Guwahati News Desk: Around 500 people were affected by a ‘mystery’ illness since Saturday at Eluru Hospital of West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh.
As COVID-19 is hitting the entire nation and now this mysterious illness is creating havoc in the minds of people.
According to the sources, the symptoms were seizures, loss of consciousness but on the other hand, the recovery was quick as they were discharged within a few hours.
430 people who were affected by the illness has been discharged so far. The Health Minister of Andhra Pradesh A K Krishna Srinivas has urged people not to panic as the government is trying to understand the cause of the illness.
A medical team arrived from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) to find out the reason behind the illness. Meanwhile, health officials suspected food and water contamination.
