Guwahati News Desk: At least 71 persons suffering from suspected food poisoning were immediately admitted at Diphu Medical College and Hospital on Tuesday.
The incident took place during the inauguration of the first academic session of MBBS courses at Diphu Medical College.
Among the patients, two media persons have also faced the same illness.
The academic inauguration was done by the Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal and State Education Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma.
