Guwahati News Desk: A total of six countries have agreed to take in the Indian citizens who had been working for them in Afghanistan.
The names of the six countries who agreed to the decision include of, the US, UK, UAE, France, Germany and Qatar.

This decision was taken with the aim to ease the pressure on the evacuation process in Kabul, and to make the repatriation smoother.
Even the official sources reiterated that the priority was to evacuate Indian nationals.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi discussed the Afghanistan situation with the German Chancellor Angela Merkel over the phone on Monday, where both the leaders emphasized on the importance of maintaining peace and security and agreed that the priority was to repatriate stranded people.
On the other hand, the Taliban wish the things to go in a different direction and they want the Indians to stay and continue their work in Afghanistan.
Moreover, 146 Indian nationals who had been flown to Doha from Kabul earlier were brought home on Monday, while another 78 were evacuated from the Afghan capital by an IAF C-130
