Guwahati News Desk: Doctors successfully complete an operation by removing a 30 kg ovarian Tumor from a 16-year-old girl at Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) in Dibrugarh on Wednesday.
According to the sources, the girl was in very critical condition as it is one of the serious case AMCH handlings but under the guidance, the operation was successful at the first attempt as the senior physician Dr Karuna Das successfully resuscitated and incubated the operation.
Principal cum Chief Superintendent of AMCH Sanjeeb Kakati said, after the operation, the patient is stable and fine as due to ovarian Tumor the girl is facing a hard life as in AMCH she had undergone successfully life-saving emergency operation. Kakati also added it is a historical surgery where the AMCH doctors hold the achievement once again and proved their capacity.
The surgery took a long time due to critical surgery as the doctors had left nothing and give a new life to the girl who was facing a tough life as during the operation the Anesthesia was given by Associate Professor Dr K K Das, Dr Amarendra Deka, Dr R Giri Prasshant, Dr Kaushal Bijlani, Dr Sudipa Paul and Dr Chiradeep Sengupta and nurse Rekha Jyoti.
The emergency Gynecology and Anaesthesia team led by Professor Dr R Sonowal and his team Dr Pranati Dutta and Dr Aiswarya Lekshmi did the critical surgery.
