Guwahati News Desk: Artist Sanjib Basak who hails from Dhubri created Goddess Durga idol by using more than 30,000 expired capsules and syringes. It took almost 60 days to complete the idol.
Basak who works with the Disaster Management Department in Dhubri, creating Durga idols from past eight years using waste material like match sticks and electric wires. Basak during his visit to drug store in between his duty he collect expired capsules to create the idol.
Last year Basak added his name in the Assam Book of Records for making Durga idol with waste electrical wires of 166 kg. Basak also created 12-feet Durga idol with match stick earlier.
