Guwahati News Desk: Chief Minister of Assam Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma visited the power generation campus of Namrup Thermal Power Station (NTPS) in Dibrugarh district on Saturday.
CM Sarma interacted with the officials of Power Department and Management of NTPS.
Namrup Thermal Power Station is South East Asia’s first gas-based power station.
CM Sarma took a stock of Namrup 100 MW Combined Cycle Replacement Power Project, Phase – I which is currently under trial run as its operation will add to our capacity.
CM Sarma also reviewed the preparedness for the Namrup Thermal Power Project Phase-II.
Minister of State Food Processing Industries Rameswar Teli, Power Minister Bimal Borah, Agriculture Minister Atul Bora and MLA’s Taranga Gogoi and Teros Gowala were also presented with the Chief Minister.
