Guwahati News Desk: The forest officials of Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve (KNPTR) and police officials prepared a joint plan to check the preparedness of poachers and Rhino slaughters.
The special task force was prepared in the presence of Additional Director General of Police (Law & Order) GP Singh.
After the visit of Chief Minister of Assam Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma while taking charge of CM, had directed the KNPTR officials to prepare a joint plan to endure that poachers cannot kill rhinoceros in the Kaziranga Park.
CM also added that for any reason no poachers should not enter the park at any cost.
The meeting relating to the preparedness of the joint plan of the Police and forest officials was held under the chairmanship of GP Singh at the centenary hall at Kohora range in Kaziranga against the rhino poachers.
In the meeting a new Assam Rhino Protection Task Force was forced under the chairmanship of GP Singh.
The Director of Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve P Shivakumar says, under the directions of Assam CM Sarma a special Assam Rhino Protection Task Force was formed in the meeting chaired by GP Singh. During the meeting, it was discussed how to prevent poaching and how to take all needed measures to stop poachers entering the park and to eliminate the killing of Rhinos.
In the meeting, it was also discussed about the possible routes or hiding places to enter the poachers into Kaziranga Park.
To police department and forest, officials to start a joint plan operation to eliminate poachers and destroy their illegal activities in the Rhino areas.
Additional Director General of Police GP Singh directed all the members of Assam Rhino Protection Task Force to be vigilant as the poachers could not able to enter the Kaziranga National Park for poaching.
