Guwahati News Desk: The prime suspect of the Barpeta rape and murder case, Ruparat Barman (Bitu) was arrested today from Narengi by Baksa police.
The incident took place on November 4 at Jakhlipar in the Barpeta district. Local police recovered the minor’s body on the next day evening as she was reported to be missing. The body received multiple injuries and loss of blood.
FIR has been lodged in Simlaguri Police Station by her father. After the relentless effort, Baksa Police successfully arrested the accused.
