Guwahati News Desk: One person arrested with suspected brown sugar from Borpool area of Jorhat on Thursday.
The individual was identified as Riju Ali from Garmur Kumargaon as he was arrested by Jorhat Police during a raid conducted in Jorhat town.
Police officials seized brown sugar of 1,25 grams along with Rs 570.
During an interrogation with the arrested person, police official launched another operation at different areas in Jorhat. Here the police seized a total of 6 grams of suspected brown sugar including cash of Rs 23,060 was recovered.
0.22 mm pistol with live amenities ware also seized during the operation.
