Guwahati News Desk: In a narrow escape, 22 people were successfully rescued after a passenger bus skid off in the National Highway 707 near Bohrad Khad in Sirmaur district at Himachal Pradesh on Friday.
According to the sources, the driver controlled the bus until the last passenger was rescued and later the driver was rescued by the passengers too.
A filmy storyline was seen in real after the bus hanging from the cliff in NH707. A total of 22 passengers were travelling on the bus and all got stuck in the hanging bus when the incident took place in Shillai.
According to the sources, it was reported that the reason for skidding is the damage of the bus tyre due to a technical glitch causing the accident. However, the driver of the bus shows a presence of mind by quickly applying brakes and managed to stop the bus before it went down. The driver immediately evacuated the bus as per an eyewitness.
