Guwahati News Desk: Chief Minister of Assam Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma warned of total lockdown in seven districts of Assam from June 23.
Earlier, the Health and Family Welfare Minister of Assam Keshab Mahanta hinted of the complete lockdown in several districts where COVID-19 positive cases are not declining.
The complete lockdown is likely to be imposed in Sonitpur, Dibrugarh, Cachar, Jorhat, Nagaon, Tinsukia, Golaghat and Biswanath districts.
On the other hand, the Darrang direct to start a massive vaccination drive from June 21 for 18 years of age.
