Guwahati News Desk: The Panchayat and Rural Development Department (P&RD) of the Assam government have reported large-scale corruption. Many officers and many employees have been either discharged or suspended, as per sources.
Three officers, Aamanur Rehman, Aatiqur Rehman, and Abdul Karim, have been discharged from their respective jobs.
Sources say that corruption was persistent in the implementation of the MGNREGA and PMAY-G schemes.
Assistant Senior Officer Amarendra Goswami of East Nalbari Development Block has also been suspended on the same charges.
