Guwahati News Desk: India reported more than 1,03,558 new COVID-19 positive cases in the last 24 hours, says Union Health Ministry on Monday.
India is the only country after the United States to report more than one lakh positive cases in a single day as the total number of positive cases in the country reached 1,25,89,067.
478 new death reported in India in the last 24 hours as total death toll increase to 1,65,101 as the country have 7,41,830 active cases.
Maharashtra alone has reported more than 50 thousand COVID-19 cases daily as it’s the worst affected COVID-19 state in India.
India already had started the largest vaccination drive on January 16 as the priority vaccination was given to all healthcare and frontline workers. From April 2, the health ministry has started vaccinating all people above 45 years.
So far more than 7 million people have been vaccinated in the country.
