Guwahati News Desk: The government of Assam has issued a notification stating the closure of Orang National Park and Tiger Reserve (ONPTR) of Assam for tourists, visitors and the public with immediate effect due to increasing cases of COVID-19 across the State and nation.
Recently, the elephant safari was closed down for tourists at Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve (KNPTR) for the same reasons.
In the last 24 hours, 30 people died of COVID-19 and new 2,385 positive cases were reported.
