Guwahati News Desk: The government of Assam have issued a notification on Friday for mandatory COVID-19 testing in the railway stations and airports in the state which to become into effect from March 1 2021.
Earlier on February 18 Government of Assam have discontinued the mandatory COVID-19 test at railway stations and airports.
COVID-19 test was made mandatory as a new strain of the virus has been detected across the nation and also the vaccination drive which was started will take some time to cover a large segment of people.
Testing will be made mandatory at Guwahati Airport, Silchar, Dibrugarh, Tezpur, Jorhat and Lakhimpur as GoA urges people to go for mandatory test.
