Guwahati News Desk: The COVID administration has started the COVID-19 test of passengers coming from other States at Srirampur gate at Kokrajhar district in Assam on Saturday.
The testing was started for the passengers travelling in the State via road as earlier it was only done for the passengers arriving in railway stations and airports.
Due to the increasing cases of COVID-19 in Assam, the administration has setup the screening test centres at Srirampur gate where Assam connects with its bordering States like West Bengal, Sikkim and Bihar.
It was one of the important step taken by the administration to control the rising numbers of cases in the State.
