Guwahati News Desk: Sensation prevailed after the recovery of a youth’s body at Dwarkuchi under the Tamulpur Police Station in the district of Baksa on Tuesday morning. The body of the youth was found hanging with a rope in a verandah of an under-construction concrete house owned by Biren Chandra Boro. The body has been identified as that of 22-year-old Jiyabur Rahman. He was a resident of Kharupathar village in Morigaon district.

The locals said when contacted with the deceased’s family members over phone, it came to light that the deceased had been working as a labourer in the Rangia under Kamrup district. Rangia is around 25 km away from Tamulpur. Some locals reported the incident to Tamulpur Police Station. Receiving the information a team from Tamulpur Police Station rushed to the spot and recovered the body. At the time of the recovery of the body, the mouth of the youth was wrapped with a black cloth which has created suspicion over the incident.

The locals suspected it to be a case of murder as the wife of the house owner denied that they knew the youth. The locals said some miscreants might have wrapped his mouth with a black cloth and after murdering him hanged the body in the verandah of the under- construction house at Dwarkuchi. Tamulpur Police has taken the body of the deceased into their custody and managed it for postmortem. The police have started an investigation into the case. Locals said only after a proper investigation by the police, the truth will come to light and mystery will be unfolded.

At the same time one more unidentified body had been recovered at Tamulpur weekly market which was found lying on the ground. Following the information of the locals Tamulpur police recovered the body and arranged for postmortem. Badaruddin Khan, president of Tamulpur district ABMSU demanded police administration for proper investigation of the incident.
