Guwahati News Desk: Due to the increasing cases of COVID-19 across the nation the government of Delhi has announced a lockdown in an attempt to limit the infection.
The announcement was made on Monday, as the curfew will come into effect from Monday midnight till next Monday morning.
Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal announced about the lockdown post a meeting held with Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal with the senior’s officers of the state.
Delhi is listed among the worst-hit COVID-19 cities in India. Curfew is the only way to choose for the Delhi Government to put a hold on the rising COVID-19 cases.
In the last 24 hours, Delhi reported around 23,500 new COVID-19 cases.
