Guwahati News Desk: The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully launched two Vertical Launch Short Range Surface to Air Missile (VL-SRSAM) on Monday.
The launch carried out from a static vertical launched from Chandipur coast of Odisha. The design of the launcher was developed by the DRDO for Indian Navy as it’s a specific neutralizing various aerial threats like close ranges including sea-skimming targets.
The VL-SRSAM was tested both in minimum and maximum ranges which also consists Weapon Control System were deployed during the trails.
Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated the DRDO for the successful launches.
