Guwahati News Desk: Nagaon Police team led by Additional Superintendent of Police shot and injured a most wanted drug mafia at Juria Kodomoni Bepari Basti area in Nagaon district.
Police shot the drug mafia and dacoit while he was trying to escape and later got arrested.
Police recovered a 7.65 pistol and other ammunition on spot.
The 35-year-old drug dealer identified as Jaitul Kobir, resident of Bepari Basti was immediately admitted to the nearest hospital after getting shot by police while escaping.
He was shot when the police team went to his home to arrest, but instead, the accused cross fired at the police.
In the meantime, to control the situation police official shoots both legs and arrested the most wanted drug dealer.
