Guwahati News Desk: A massive incident took place on 31st night after youth in inebriated condition attacked on-duty police officer at Ganeshguri.
According to the sources, the youth reportedly attacked a female police officer. The youth was immediately grabbed by the officials and taken under custody.
As per reports, 31 people have been details for breaking the law on 31st and we’re sent to ‘DJ Lockup’ which was promoted by Assam Police during the early days before last day of the year.
Assam Police urges people not to mix drink and drive and also prohibited strictly rush driving.
On Friday, many checkpoint were set up by Guwahati Police in Jalukbari, Chandmari, Ganeshguri, Ulubari to stop people who were moving against the instruction release by the cop department.
The check-in was directed by the Chief Minister of Assam Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma to reduce and eliminate road accidents and also urges the public to follow strictly.
