Guwahati News Desk: Eminent writer of Assam Anima Guha passed away at the age of 90 at her residence at Ulubari in Guwahati on Wednesday.
Guha completed her Masters degree after her marriage and she completed her Phd in Anthropology from Pune University in Maharashtra.
She was married to a renowned historian and economist Amalendra Guha.
Guha also worked as pool officer of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research from 1980 to 1984. She was known for writing several books, essays, articles, translations and travel blogs.
She was also well-known figure who have participated in many national and international seminars and conferences. She also published several research papers in scientific journals.
Guha presented a research paper at the International Congress of Anthropological and Ethnological Science held in New Delhi and Yugoslavia.
Chief Minister of Assam Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma offered his last prayers to the eminent writer of Assam who has contributed a lot through her skills.
