Guwahati News Desk: 29-year-old entreprenuer Sansri Basumatary, was featured in The Better India which is an Indian digital media platform which focused on positive stories of growth and development.
Sansri earlier worked in a national newspaper and later founded her own handicraft business in the year 2017.
Currently she come up with an e-commerce website called Hathai on October which is the first e-commerce website from Bodoland. Hathai, a store for all Bodo traditional items which includes clothing, jewellery, musical instruments, books etc.
In conversation with Hello Guwahati Sansri said, “We have made an e-commerce platform which is focusing only on Bodo traditional culture but in coming days it will welcome other entrepreneur or people to sell their products through Hathai”.
“Our students having Bodo major in colleges or studying in Bodo medium could not find all required books and sometimes might have to travel Guwahati or Kokrajhar to buy a book of Rs 300 at the cost of travelling charge of Rs 2000-3000. So we are trying to make all Bodo books available in our e-commerce site which will help students and others as well”, Sansri added.
However, Sansri today have marked her name in the list of e-commerce business which is a pride moment for the state.
