Guwahati News Desk: The first rail route to construct connecting from Northeast India to Bangladesh via Agartala of Tripura to Akhaura of Bangladesh.

The Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNer) has funded the track laying on the Indian side.

The 10 km will be the first rail route to run both passenger and goods trains from northeast India to Bangladesh.
