Guwahati News Desk: The government of Assam to bring the new legislation to control the microfinance firms. The GoA has approved a proposal regarding the new laws on Sunday.
The new law for the microfinance firms will be as per RBI guidelines. During the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal, have decided in the meeting to monitor and look after the microfinance entitles who provide loans to woman self-help groups at high rates, says Parliamentary Affairs Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary.
The law for the microfinance firms will bring to give relief to the women. The state cabinet also approved a proposal set up Project Monitoring Unit (PMU) in the entire districts across the State for the schemes of tea garden.
During the meeting, the state cabinet also approved the holiday list of upcoming for 2021 which will have 34 general holidays and 1 restricted holiday.
