Govt. to set up nine model women college in the State

Guwahati News Desk: Government of Assam have decided to set up 15 model colleges in the State which will aim to promote higher education in the rural areas. Among the 15 model colleges nine will be set up only for women. Government to invest an amount of Rs 30.43 crore in the model school project. The colleges will be enabled with modern educational facilities as the administrative have targeted to complete the project within two years.
The proposed model women colleges will set up at Bilasipara, Mangaldoi, Golakganj, Jaleswar, Batadraba, Hailakandi, Chenga, Sonai and Karimganj.
