Guwahati News Desk: The Health and Family welfare department of Assam has issued a notification on Saturday that all the passengers arriving from Mumbai and Bengaluru to Assam will mandatorily need to carry a negative COVID negative certificate and within 72 hours before testing.
It was also notified that airlines companies are allowed to boarding only those passengers from Mumbai and Bengaluru who are carrying negative COVID test report.
Passengers arriving in Assam without carrying COVID negative certificate need to go paid COVID screening test inside airport premises at their own expense till results were out.
If anyone tests positive for COVID-19 the passenger will shift to home isolation or hospital as per COVID treatment norms.
As the order will come into force from April 9 with immediate effect.
The notification was announced that the highest numbers of COVID-19 cases are reported in Kerela and Maharashtra.
