Guwahati News Desk: West Guwahati Police District (WGPD) team led by DCP West conducted a route match in the Durga Puja mandap near Bharalumukh area in Guwahati.
According to the sources, during the visit by the team and briefed puja committees about the SOPs released by the Government of Assam for Durga Puja which the committees need to follow.
The WGPD team visited puja mandaps in Shantipur, Sluice Gate, Panchali, Bishnupur area.
The officials also interacted with the shopkeepers and local people regarding Durga Puja and the latest SOPs.
On the other hand, all the committee members and organisers of Durga Puja had gone mandatory COVID-19 test for safety puja. The negative reports of the committee members were submitted in the local police stations.
