Guwahati News Desk: The Industries and Commerce Department has contributed an amount of Rs 3,24,46,724 to the Chief Minister’s relief fund on Wenesday.
The cheque was handed over to Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma at Janata Bhawan.
State’s Industrial Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary led the industrial department and all it’s State Public Sector Undertakings (PSU)s.
Assam Industrial Development Corporation (AIDC) has also contributed Rs 1 crore, Assam Petrochemicals Limited (APL) with Rs 1 crore, Assam Gas Company Limited (AGCL) contributed Rs 82,62,589, Duliajan Numaligarh Pipeline Limited (DNPL) with Rs 25,44,025, Assam Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (AIIDC) with Rs 10 lakhs, Assam Small Industries Development Corporation (ASIDC) Rs 5 lakhs and Commissionerate of Industries and Commerce contributed Rs 1,40,110.
Managing Directors and other representatives of these corporations and industries handed over the cheques to the CM.
Besides, employees of the Commissionerate of Transport too contributed Rs 17,05,421 from their salaries.
Whereas, NRL, OIL, BCPL and the tea sector have contributed separately.
