Guwahati News Desk: COVID-19 positive cases were seen increasing in Guwahati City as Kamrup Metro listed top among the list of all districts with new 207 COVID-19 positive cases on Wednesday.
Only July 13, Kamrup Metro reported 258 217 COVID-19 positive cases and on July 12 it reported 217 COVID-19 positive cases as back to back three days it’s an alarming sign of rising cases in Guwahati.
Rising COVID-19 positive cases is a bit worry for the Guwahati residents as it might get chances in the changes of current SOP released by the administration for Kamrup Metro.
The curfew timing in Kamrup Metro is 5 pm as all the commercial establishments, shops, offices were shut down by 4 pm.
From July 9 COVID-19 cases have reached a sudden hike in Metro with 247 COVID-19 cases and only July 10 it reported 228 cases.
Later on Sunday, Kamrup Metro cases were seen low with 150 cases but from Monday, it took the road to hike.
According to the sources, some of the Guwahatians has blamed the evening walk after the curfew hours, and the regular rush seen in the bus stops and inside the bus after the office hours at 4 pm which might get related to increasing cases as the inter-district has been already banned by the government of Assam.
In Guwahati, the odd-even rules were also active but cases of COVID-19 seen a sudden hike in the last 5 days.
Still, it has been witnessed many people do not use masks in public places and mostly by the vegetable, fish vendors etc.
