Guwahati News Desk: The Union Ministry of Environment and Forest has issued a notification for the closure of Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve in Assam due to the increasing cases of COVID-19 across the State until further notice.
Earlier, the elephant safari was closed down from April 30 with immediate effect for the tourist session of 2020-21.
In Assam, a total of 4,489 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the last 24 hours taking the toll of active cases to 26,477.
