Guwahati News Desk: Former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad on Friday was granted bail by the Jharkhand High Court in a fodder scam case related to Chaibasa treasury. However, the Rashtriya Janata Dal chief to stay behind bars as the verdict to the Dumka treasury case is still awaited.
The case is related to withdrawals of whooping amounting of Rs 33.67 crore from the Chaibasa treasury during Laluâs reign.
He was asked to submit two personal bonds of Rs 50,000 each, and deposit penalty of Rs 2 lakh by the High Court which was awarded by a special CBI court to secure his bail.
Earlier, he was granted bail in Deoghar treasury case.
