Guwahati News Desk: Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Northeast Frontier Railways started awareness drive called “Meri Saheli” for female passengers.
The initiative was launch in Dibrugarh-Delhi Special Train on October 20 to increase the security of female passengers during their journey. The main aim of the campaign is to respond security related issues to female while journey by train.
The campaign was led by lady constables formed in Tinsukia division. The team led by an Inspector who interacted with the female passengers in Dibrugarh Railway Station and elaborated about the precaution needed to be taken during the journey.
The female passengers were also informed about the RPF 24×7 Help Line No. 182 for any emergency as the mobile number of Tinsukia division was shared with all female passengers.
