Guwahati News Desk: The Water Resource Department (WRD) has begin cleaning and desalinization work in Bondajan Beel in Guwahati.
The department has allotted 32 workers in the project under Guwahati Development Department (GDD) which is expected to be completed within 10 days as the mission was carried out under Mission Flood Free Guwahati.
Guwahati is facing a severe flood every year during the monsoons which leads to a huge traffic, road blockage, houses submerge under water, drain blockage etc.
This project to make Guwahati flood free in coming days under such initiative taken by the Government of Assam.
According to the sources, a large mount excavator and two chain excavator is added in the project to clear all garbage and silt starting from Maria Public School bridge point.
The garbage has blocked all the low area near the Bondajan beel and will be destroyed using chemical.
