Guwahati News Desk: The Union Minister of State for Communications Devusinh Chauhan requested the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati to provide support for 5G communications including other vital technologies.
The IIT Guwahati had submitted the proposal to Minister of State who visited the campus to establish a Center for Excellence in Advanced Communication to develop specific areas for next generation.
According to the sources, the IIT for Communications was first shown the Supercomputer facility Param-Ishan and it’s capabilities for technologies, multiple scientific, weather forecasting and healthcare applications were demonstrated.
The Director of IIT Guwahati also informed Union Minister of State for Communications Devusinh Chauhan about the upcoming Param-Kamrupa Supercomputer facility which is being installed at IIT Guwahati presently.
