Guwahati News Desk: Chandra Kishore Patil residence of Nashik, Maharashtra was featured in The Better India for his social campaign aiming to save the river Godavari.

Kishore stands beside the Godavari river everyday, from early in the morning till 11 pm at night and stops people from throwing garbage into the river by whistling .

People sometimes refuses to listen to him and behave rudely but somehow he manages the situation by barring them from practicing such activities for the good of the environment. Kishore even collects the polluted water in a bottle and asks people to taste a sip.

And when people refuses to taste the river water he makes the people aware of the pollution and thier contribution towards it.

The Better India featured Chandra Kishore Patil and mentioned him as a hero for his great deed for the Godavari river.
