Guwahati News Desk: Newly joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Rupjyoti Kurmi files his nomination for Mariani bye-election on Friday.
During his nomination filing for by-election Chief Minister of Assam Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma was present including Minister of State Rameshwar Teli, Cabinet Ministers Atul Bora, Pijush Hazarika, Sanjoy Kishan, MP Kamakhya Prasad Tasa and District BJP President Kamakhya Mohan Das.
Former four-time MLA Rupjyoti Kurmi from Congress who quits the party and joined thd saffron party.
The bye-polls of Gossaigaon, Bhabanipur, Tamulpur, Mariani, Thowra will take place on October 30. As mentioned by the Election Commission of India, the results of the bye-polls will be declared on November 02.
